ESIA

The environmental and social impact assesment (ESIA) has also been suspended along with the Bankable Feasibility Study.  The ESIA development to date has been conducted by Citrus Partners of the UK and MTL of Tanzania.  Citrus is very experienced in the development of ESIAs to internationally accepted best practise standards.  Citrus has worked with Tanzania consultants MTL to develop an ESIA in full compliance with the 2012 International Finance Corporation Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability, Tanzanian regulations and the Equator Principles framework for environmental and social risk management.  The ESIA is targeted to be completed concurrently with the Bankable Feasibility Study.
