TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS

African Eagle Resources plc ("African Eagle" or "the Company", ticker AIM: AFE) announces that, for the purposes of the Transparency Directive, the Company's total issued share capital at 31 July 2007 is 154,049,144 ordinary shares of one pence each ("Ordinary Shares"). There are no shares held in treasury. Accordingly, the total number of voting rights in respect of Ordinary Shares which are admitted to trading on AIM is 154,049,144.

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company, under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
